9,000+ historical WODs, structured & searchable

WodAI doesn't just know workouts. It understands how they're built.

We turned 9,000+ CrossFit workouts from 20 years of history into structured knowledge you can search, compare, analyze, and build on, in plain English.

No spam. One email when WodAI opens for early access.

A workout isn't text. It's a structure.

WodAI reads the row, the rounds, the reps, and the loads, then turns two decades of programming into something a machine can actually reason about.

Before anyone lifts a bar. Every workout is analyzed across six dimensions of what it actually asks of the body.

Muscle map

Which regions a session loads, and how hard.

Movement patterns

Squat, hinge, push, pull, carry, and the balance between them.

Stimulus

What the session is actually training for, not just what it contains.

Energy systems

Aerobic, anaerobic, or a mix, and in what proportion.

Difficulty

How demanding a session is relative to the historical dataset.

Complexity

How many skills and transitions a session asks an athlete to manage.

What WodAI would tell you

2001–2008: single-modality WODs

Sessions leaned on one or two movements — mostly bodyweight and light barbell work.

2009–2016: skill work enters the mix

Gymnastics and Olympic lifting variants start compounding within the same piece.

2017–2026: layered structures

Multi-modal pieces with pacing constraints and mixed implements become the norm.

Every WOD in context

No workout stands alone. See what a session is structurally similar to, or put two side by side and compare exactly where they differ.

Scaling that preserves the stimulus

Reducing weight isn't scaling, it's guessing. WodAI adjusts load, reps, and movement together, so a scaled session still trains what it was meant to train.

Scaling logic · simulated data

Naive scaling

Just less weight

Thrusters at 95 lb become 45 lb. Time drops from 8 minutes to 3. The stimulus, high-output anaerobic power, is gone.

Smart scaling

Same stimulus, right load

Load, reps, and movement are adjusted together so the session still lands as high-output anaerobic power, just at a level the athlete can sustain.

Built on real data

Not a random movement generator. Every session is grounded in two decades of real programming history.

Infrastructure, not just an app

The engine behind WodAI is built to be infrastructure. We're exploring how to plug data-driven programming intelligence into whatever affiliates, apps, and platforms are already building.

Frequently asked questions

Everything coaches, box owners, and athletes ask about WodAI.

What exactly is WodAI?+

WodAI is a workout knowledge engine. We turned 9,000+ historical CrossFit workouts, from 2001 to 2026, into structured, analyzable data: format, rounds, movements, reps, loads, muscle groups, movement patterns, energy systems, and difficulty. That structure is what lets you search, compare, analyze, and generate workouts in plain English instead of keyword matching.

How does WodAI understand a workout, not just store it?+

Every workout is broken down into its real structure: format, rounds, movements, reps, and loads. Then it is enriched with an analysis of what it actually does to the body, including which muscles it loads, what movement patterns it uses, and what energy system it taxes. That is what makes a WOD searchable and comparable, not just readable.

Can I search in plain English instead of filters?+

Yes. Ask for what you want the way you would ask a coach, like "something like Fran but with rowing, under 12 minutes" or "20 minutes, legs and core, no machines", and WodAI matches on both the specifics you named and the underlying stimulus, not just keywords.

Can I generate WODs based on the equipment I have available?+

Yes. Tell WodAI what is available, whether that is a fully-stocked affiliate, a garage gym with a barbell and pull-up bar, or bodyweight only, and it filters the historical dataset and generation logic to only propose movements you can actually perform, while preserving the intended stimulus.

What does "smart scaling" mean?+

Naive scaling just reduces weight until a workout is easier. Smart scaling adjusts load, reps, and movement together so the session still delivers its intended stimulus, whether that is high-output power, aerobic endurance, or strength, just at a level the athlete can sustain.

Can I compare two workouts side by side?+

Yes. WodAI can compare any two workouts across duration, volume, muscle load, complexity, and energy system, and surface historical workouts that are structurally similar to one you already know.

Is WodAI suitable for affiliates and coaches, not just individual athletes?+

WodAI is built for both. Coaches can search or generate a data-backed daily WOD for class programming in seconds, with scaling built in, while individual athletes can explore and generate sessions around their own goals, time caps, and equipment.

What data is WodAI built on?+

WodAI is built on 20+ years of official daily WODs and benchmark workouts, more than 9,000 sessions from 2001 to 2026, converted from text into structured, machine-readable training data.

Is any of this live yet?+

WodAI is in pre-launch. Everything interactive on this page, including the search interface, muscle map, evolution chart, and comparisons, is a preview built on simulated data to show how the product will work. Join early access to be notified when it opens.

Will WodAI offer an API for third-party integrations?+

That is the direction we are exploring. The knowledge engine behind WodAI, structured workout data, search, and analysis, is designed to work as infrastructure other products can build on: affiliate software, fitness apps, and wearable platforms. Request access below and we will reach out as this takes shape.
